Maureen Miller, E-RYT500; Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapist; Ayurveda Yoga Specialist; Reiki Master Teacher Trainer; Certified Coach, Certified Yoga Nidra instructor; For details on credentials, click here
Maureen, is a Yogapreneur who follows her passion sharing what she loves with others by offering classes, workshops, and trainings on topics that assist students on the path of transformation. She has been studying yoga, philosophy, human development, holistic healing modalities and more for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoys being both a teacher and a student.
Rooted in a deep sense of community, Maureen opened Living Yoga in 2004 in Concord NH. In 2010, after building that studio from a three-teacher studio to a 10-person staff with more than 16 classes per week, she sold the studio to one of her senior teachers to focus her energy on the expansion of Yoga NH and more specifically, Yoga Teacher Training programs designed to bring many more well-trained yoga teachers to the NH community. In 2018, with four campus locations (Concord, Portsmouth and Nashua, NH and Winchester, MA), Yoga NH begins its 12th year, celebrating over 350 graduates of Yoga and Reiki programs. In addition to overseeing the teacher training program, Maureen also leads workshops and e-courses focusing on philosophy, personal development, Reiki/energy, human flourishing, Women’s Power Circles, and other topics to assist others on their journey toward discovering what feeds their soul. In 2018, she will begin a Mentorship Program available to students in-person and online. Additionally, as the leader of Yoga NH, Maureen also hosts many international yoga teachers in the Concord, NH area so the community can benefit from the knowledge of experts without having to travel to do so.
In addition to the credentials noted on the above linked page, Maureen will complete the Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy (BDYT) Program in December. Yoga therapy integrates all that Maureen has learned (and has been teaching) for the past 20 years and positively contributes to the vision and mission of the Yoga NH Studio, specifically by offering smaller sized classes with the intention to provide more individualized attention to students and to educate them so they have more tools in their toolbox to help increase, and maintain, wellness in body, mind & spirit.
Prior to beginning her journey as a Yogapreneur, Maureen was in a leadership position at a state-wide human service agency for 12 years and a Business Manager at UNH for over 10 years. Maureen continues her affiliation with UNH with the Carsey School of Public Policy and the Sustainability Institute as a part–time consultant. Maureen, and Yoga NH, can also be found on various social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. Thank you to Jan Myskowski for the photo.
Lori Fisher, RYT-500, Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Yoga Nidra Instructor
Lori is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance (RYT-500) and is currently completing the Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Foundations program. She began her yoga journey in Saratoga Springs, NY over 20 years ago, first starting with Bikram Yoga and then taking prenatal classes while pregnant with both her son and daughter. Yoga remained something she always returned to, as she ran half marathons and obtained her first and second degree black belts in TaeKwonDo. Currently, she is an Ashtanga practitioner, and also practices Yin, Restorative, and gentle vinyasa. She has found that balancing a vigorous practice with more gentle practices on a regular basis allows for better recovery, less injury, and more mindfulness to work with how her body and mind feel each day. Lori enjoys introducing new students to the practice of yoga, helping them find joy and peace through small steps and by meeting individuals where they are in their bodies and minds in the present moment.
In addition to her yoga practice, Lori is a Reiki Master Teacher of the Usui lineage, and leads Reiki I and II attunements. She also has a daily chanting, pranayama (breathing), and meditation practice, and offers workshops around those topics annually. She loves to help people discover that yoga and related practices can enhance the quality of their lives, both on and off the mat.
Lori works full-time as the Library Director of the Baker Free Library in Bow, NH and has a Master of Library Science with a concentration in Archival Management. Prior to her library work, she was a curator for various museums in New York, including Historic Cherry Hill and the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. She loves to encourage life-long learning through the activities in every aspect of her life. To reach Lori, contact YogaNH or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
