The Yoga for Anxiety workshop will focus on self-care techniques that help with decreasing anxiety and the physical sensations that can be present when we experience anxiety. The techniques can also assist with the ‘monkey mind’ that often accompanies anxiety – techniques that we hope will contribute to stilling the mind when/if your mind moves from thought to thought, from worry to worry. We will focus on breathing techniques, mudras, affirmations, guided meditation, and yoga poses. You will leave the workshop with a written take-home practice and handout(s) to assist after the workshop. When you sign up for this workshop, you should also plan to attend the 9:00-10:15am class scheduled immediately prior to the workshop. That class is included in the cost of the workshop.
