Yoga NH Studio at Studio 603, 48 South Main Street, Concord, NH
Yoga NH Studio is part of the Yoga NH family of services, programs and events.
The Eight Limbs of Yoga
The eight limbs of Yoga inform everything we think, do, believe and offer at through Yoga NH. The Yamas & Niyamas are the 1st two of the eight limbs of Yoga. The Yamas are an examination of ethical disciplines and include being kind & honest, living with integrity, not stealing, living with energy awareness, and non-attachment. The Niyamas can be thought of as self-discipline in body, mind & spirit, which can be expressed as purity, contentment, discipline, self study, and surrender to the divine.
Brené Brown defines spirituality as ‘recognizing and celebrating that we are all inextricably connected to each other by a power greater than all of us, and that our connection to that power and to one another is grounded in love and compassion. Practicing spirituality brings a sense of perspective, meaning and purpose to our lives.’ This definition resonates with us, because it allows for individuality and respect.
The Yoga NH mission is to contribute to individual and collective well-being – to flourish in body, mind & spirit, to elevate health, healing, connectedness, and spirituality – for ourselves, our families & friends, for anyone we come into contact with. As one of the early Yoga NH community members stated: #moreyogagood!
The Yoga NH vision is to have a community of people who are living with purpose, who are connected (to what their goals are in life, to one another, to community), and people who are living with awareness and aspire to be at peace – on and off the mat.
The Yoga NH Purpose can be summarized as connection & community to:
– serve our community with intention
– personally connect with those we serve
– contribute to wellness in body, mind, & spirit
– make our community a better place
The Yoga NH studio location was chosen for 3 reasons, in no particular order:
1. location: central within the city of Concord, and centrally located in the state of NH,
2. beautiful space/building: to be in a space that is energetically pleasing and to collaborate with Studio 603. Pilates is a wonderful complement to Yoga and Dinah is an amazing Pilates instructor, and
3. the smaller studio size: which is perfect for what we want to accomplish as a yoga studio community!
Yoga NH class sizes are purposefully limited to no more than 12 students because of our mission to serve students in a way that contributes to the capacity to provide individual attention. This enables us to educate students to take what is learned on the mat, with them in their day-to-day life off the mat.
Reminder: We require that students PRE-REGISTER for classes online via the Yoga NH-MindBody class schedule or via the Yoga NH-MindBody app. You can register up to an hour before class time. As we have noted before, we are pleased to offer smaller class sizes to provide you with more individual attention, therefore signing up in advance is important to secure your slot in class.
Technology makes it easy to sign up with a few clicks on the computer or smartphone, and it is easy to sign up (or cancel) for any class ahead of time. If no-one signs up for a scheduled class, it will be canceled 60 minutes prior to the class start time and that information will be available on the class schedule page (be sure to ‘refresh’) and the Yoga NH-MindBody app. We honor our student’s time as well as that of our teachers, and so we have intentionally implemented this policy to ensure that we operate the studio consistent with our values. We also want to conserve the unnecessary energy resources that have to be expended to prepare the beautiful studio and building (lights, heat, etc.) to make it a welcoming place to practice. We believe that you will appreciate the high regard we hold for you, ourselves, and the planet. For those of you who prefer to ‘drop in’, please check the Yoga NH-Mind Body app or class schedule (up to 59 minutes before class time), prior to making your way to the studio, to confirm class is being held and/or to be sure there is space available.
